A Magical Italian – Scottish Affair: Uniting Traditions in a Timeless Castle

This editorial photo shoot had something magical from the very beginning. The extraordinary availability of the suppliers who lent themselves to travel between Scotland and Italy created a truly special collaboration between different but very similar traditions. They were all strangers, but from the moment they met, they knew they were embarking on something extraordinary. The photo shoot was initially designed to recite the renewal of promises between a truly married couple, but the groom took the moment of promises to a whole new level by swearing eternal love to his wife once again. It was a very emotional surprise for everyone involved, and it reminded us of the power of love and the significance of these special moments.

The location itself played a pivotal role in setting the enchanting ambiance. Nestled amid the stunning Scottish landscape, an incredible castle stood tall and proud, bearing witness to centuries of history and romance. The very walls seemed to echo with stories of love and timeless celebrations.

Drawing inspiration from the rich heritage of Scotland, our creative team set out to design a wedding tableau that blended the classic elegance of Tartan fabric- designed by Michael Lemetti – with unique and timeless pieces of furniture. What made this Tartan truly exceptional was its design, incorporating elements of the Italian flag, making it a one-of-a-kind creation that beautifully merged the two distinct cultures.

For the table setting, they opted for a mix of rich, warm hues, reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands in autumn. The centerpiece was a lush arrangement of seasonal flowers and foliage, accompanied by the majestic presence of the peacock, which symbolizes longevity, love, spring, and rebirth. Known as the bird with a hundred eyes, its plumage represented the stars, the universe, the sun, and the moon, adding a touch of celestial wonder to the entire setting.

Amidst this mesmerizing setup, the pomegranate fruit took center stage. A symbol of abundance, the many sweet and juicy grains found inside the fruit (the arils) represented wealth, fertility, and prosperity. The pomegranate’s inclusion in the décor served as a reminder of the bountiful blessings that love brings, creating a meaningful connection between the couple’s journey and the natural cycle of life.

The bride’s dress was a masterpiece that combined modern style with classic elegance. The intricate lace detailing on the bodice and the flowing layers of tulle gave her an ethereal appearance, as if she had stepped straight out of a fairytale. Her bouquet, a collection of delicate blooms in muted tones, perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the Scottish landscape.

The groom, dapper in a traditional Scottish kilt, symbolized the merging of old and new, past and present. The essence of his timeless attire was a testament to the enduring nature of love and commitment, and it added a touch of regal charm to the entire affair.

The goal with this styled shoot was to inspire new couples to believe that everything is possible when there is a collective will and a shared vision. They wanted to demonstrate that the union of several creative minds can give birth to truly beautiful projects that resonate with the hearts of those involved.
